With one press of a button, or on impact of a fall, CSO LifeLink alerts the CSO Control Room, shares your location, and gives responders access to your medical details, so the right medical response can arrive as quickly as possible.

How does CSO LifeLink work?

STEP 1

Activate an alert

Press the button on your CSO LifeLink device in a medical emergency, or, if a fall is detected, the device will automatically alert the CSO Control Room.

STEP 2

CSO makes contact

The CSO Control Room will contact you immediately by cellphone. If you do not answer, they will contact you through the CSO LifeLink device.

STEP 3

Your location informs dispatch

If you cannot respond, CSO LifeLink gives the CSO Control Room your live location, helping them understand where emergency medical assistance is needed.

STEP 4

Emergency medical help is activated

CSO Cape Town dispatches a medical responder and coordinates ambulance services if required.

STEP 5

Your loved ones can be alerted

Up to two chosen contacts can receive an immediate alert, letting them know that emergency medical help is on the way.

Is CSO LifeLink a security panic button?

No. CSO LifeLink is for medical emergencies, not security incidents.

Do you need a cellphone to use it?

No. The device is independent and works without access to a cellphone. If your cellphone is not with you in an emergency, it will still work.

Will the device work everywhere?

The device may not work in areas of poor cellular coverage, underground, where there is no GPS, if the battery is dead, or if the button is not pressed firmly.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. The device has an 18-month warranty for faults. If the device is lost or damaged, the user will cover the replacement cost.

Is the device waterproof?

The device is water resistant, not waterproof.

Does CSO LifeLink replace an ambulance or emergency service?

No. CSO LifeLink connects you to the CSO Control Room so that CSO Cape Town can assess the situation, dispatch a medical responder, and coordinate ambulance services if required.
