Every day, we wake up ready. We see the day as an opportunity – and a privilege – to help the community flourish and grow. And you can too, because there’s a little bit of CSO in every one of us.

Since 2016, I've been volunteering with CSO, an experience that’s profoundly impacted my life. I’ve found a family and found myself. Moreover, it’s given me a meaningful way to give back to my community, particularly during times of greatest need.

CSO’s expertise and knowledge is amazing - even in my collapsed state I was aware of how remarkable they are and how lucky the community is to be able to call upon them at a moment’s notice! They’re the jewel in our communal crown and we are so grateful.

CSO teaches you how to protect yourself and your community, but more than that, I’ve learnt leadership and communication skills, general awareness and how to manage a crisis. I know what to do without panicking. These are life skills I can use forever.
