CSO Medical operates 24/7/365, consistently delivering excellent emergency medical treatment, personalised patient care, and providing free emergency response services. We want the community to go out and live life, knowing that in a medical emergency, CSO Medical is there. We are legally required to send an ambulance to every medical callout and will stay with and care for the patient until they arrive – no matter what.
Our 24/7 Control Room is the go-to for the community to report security or medical emergencies, suspicious activity, or potential threats to Cape Town’s Jewish community. Our 8 full-time staff dispatch relevant security and emergency medical responders swiftly and effectively. The Control Room also performs 24/7 CCTV monitoring and sends out alerts for any suspicious activity.
In an emergency, time is of the essence. Our two Emergency Response Vehicles and highly trained volunteers are committed to being first on scene to stabilise or treat a patient. We do not transport patients to the hospital, but an ambulance will always be dispatched while our team ensures your safety, health and comfort until the ambulance arrives.
We offer bursaries for students wishing to become full-time paramedics and then join the CSO team on completion of their studies. Eligible courses include the Diploma in Emergency Medical Care (ECT) or the Bachelor of Emergency Medical Care (ECP). For more info, contact bursaries@csocape.org.za.
Help us continue protecting and caring for the Jewish Community.
Our safety, emergency medical response and training initiatives protect, upskill and inspire the community to enhance their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual lives.
